ColoRODans Cruise Nite at The Longmont SONIC

May 17th ( a Saturday) starting @ 5pm at the Sonic Drive-In in Longmont Colorado. Hwy 287 (Main Street) and just south of Hwy 66. Everyone is welcome. If you have a car, bring it. If you just want to see the cars, bring the rest of the family too. Don't forget to have a tasty snack while there. Webmaster Jim will be partaking in the Chili Cheese Coney Dogs. Yummy.
The ColoRODans very own D.J. Ted McArthur will be spinning the tunes. Now that's a good thing because I don't have a radio in my car. The NSRA will be conducting vehicle safety inspections. We will also have applications for The 38th Annual Rod Festival. Hope to see you there!
It couldn't have been a nicer night for the cruise. The ColoRODans would like to thank the Longmont Sonic for being such gracious hosts. There were plenty of cars on a day where there were, at my last count, at least 7 car events from Colorado Springs into Wyoming. We had a good turn out from the club, Jim Larson, Butch Lapp, Jim Arnold, Marty Gable, Joe Lopez, Ted McArthur, Jim Miller, Brad Gill, Gary Hanson, Bob Bennett, John Ehrlich, Steve VanSkiver, Mike Wells, Harold Aldridge, Bill Simms, Steve Powers, Gary Thompson, and Ernie Bottenfield. There were also many member's families and I was introduced to several past members of The ColoRODans, wonderful stories aboot the old days. (Terry Campbell had the best reason for not being there, he was out riding around in the new ZR1 Corvette with it's development team.)
It was a family event. Parents and kids of all sizes wandering around looking at GTO's, Street Rods, Classics, Camaros, Mustangs, (including a dark blue matching his and hers set). Pat and his wife Marianne, in the black 64 chevy ss, showed up after a few emails were sent. Nice car with a great story! There were so many people who had a good time.
