A Little Bit of Info

History of the car. (how was it acquired, who did the work, paint, interior, engine work, customizing, engine type, etc.)- I have had this truck for many years, it was in my wifes aunt's house in the back yard in Albq. NM . I started the project 2 years ago stripping the truck to bare metal. I have been working on the chop top, shaved doors, frame boxing, bed rebuilding, rearend fabrication for this duration. All the work has been done in my garage by myself and help from my sons and a friend from AZ. It is a slow process especially when you have limited space and budget. I call the working on the truck my therapy. Hopefully I will have a rolling chassis by the end of the summer. Pics to follow.

Other info (trips, mishaps, stories about you and your car) Also I am part owner in a family restoration. I worked for years with my father on his 51 Merc. His Parkensons disease advancement then limited his abilities to handle tools and motor skills. The restoration was then turned over to a shop that completed the project., My father never saw the finshed results the completion was done following his death by Anthon'y Auto in Boulder City NV. My father and I use to go to Pamona for the swap meet and car shows years ago. He always loved cars and airplanes. The A 51 Merc was a car that he and my mother drove in England where he was stationed after the war it had many memories associated with the car. The Merc is in the family and this summer I hope to bring it up for the Rod Fest.
