Welcome to the 2007 ColoRODans, 37th Annual Rod Festival.
Participation Information for the current Rod Fest
July 28th and 29th 2007
The 28th started of quite nice after a good rain the night before. My name is Jim Miller, the webmaster, and this was my first Rod Festival I participated in, 2008 I get to work it! My anticipation was rather high. I have 1953 Chevy 150, it's in original condition, so I was pretty stoked about showing it.

I arrived at the Club House Saturday morning for breakfast. Met some of the members and checked out their cars. After breakfast we all hoped into our cars and headed to the staging area for the Boulder County Parade. After a little wait, we fired up the engines and off we went. There are pictures taken from my point of view of the parade. After the parade, I came to the conclusion next year I'm driving the '64 Olds, it has an automatic, my clutch leg was tired.

Here I am in the Boulder County Fair Parade, Harold Aldridge in front of me, Joe Lopez in front of him!

I went to the fairgrounds to get my registration packet for the Rodfest. Took my co-pilot with me. Hung around for awhile waiting for the poker run. Had some unexpected things to take care of and missed out. But, I did meet up at Scooterhinge in Mead for the welcome dinner. Interesting things in there. Check out 2006 Rod Fest page for some pictures of it. Had a good time and went home.

Sunday, the Show and Shine at the Boulder County Fair Grounds. Got there fairly early not too long of a line. Drove on in and found a nice place to park. Harold made fun of me trying to get the car to turn, no power steering. Got parked, poped the hood and went to look around.

Durring the show, there were announcements for the lucky ones who won door prizes. I won! Yippee! A socket set. Nothing like more tools. Chatted with many people. At the end of it all, they gave away the final door prizes, I won again! A bbq grill. Nice one too. They announced winners of the show and they paraded out. I didn't win any. Bummer. Oh well. I had a good time any ways.
