Despite some inclement weather on Saturday night which delayed the Cackle Fest, the weekend proved to be a winner!
Friday and Saturday saw the reunion of friends, registration at our host hotels, an open house at the ColoRODans' clubhouse and the always popular Downtown Cruisin' Main Street cruise and the Cackle Fest. The streets of Longmont as well as the restaurants and bars were P-A-C-K-E-D! From what we heard on the streets, the cruise was a great success once again. The Cackle Fest started late due to the rain, but once those awesome engines were fired up, the crowd was WOWED by the "cackle" and flames.
Sunday was the day. We had a final tally of 299 vehicles that were registered for the 44th Annual Show-n-Shine. A large crowd of spectators took in the sights and sounds of the great array of machinery that graced Roosevelt Park.
We are truly thankful to all of you who brought your cars, pickups and other vehicles in to share with us! You and all of your support made our show a resounding success!
We also want to take the time to thank ALL of our sponsors. Without their support and participation we would not have been able to bring you the weekend we did. We very much appreciate each and every one of them and hope that everyone will take the opportunity to support these wonderful businesses!
Also, a thank you goes to John Fryar and Cliff Grassmick of the Longmont Times Call for providing some very nice coverage of the Saturday activities. Click the following link to see the article and great pictures: 2014 Open House and Cruisin' Main Street
