The ColoRODans is a fun, family-oriented car club that has called Longmont, Colorado home since 1968. We have proudly been a non-profit corporation dedicated to “FUN WITH CARS” since our inception in March of 1968.
The ColoRODans participate in many family-friendly events every year, including many that also give back to various communities around Colorado. Once a year the ColoRODans give back to Longmont with a special event, the RodFestival. More recently we’ve been able to successful bring cruising back to Longmont!
In addition to car shows and cruises, the ColoRODans have and will continue to support the citizens of Longmont because we feel a sense of community. The club participates in various parades, grand openings and charity events. Like many car clubs, we have become more and more active in our community over the years. Early on we were instrumental in the construction and placement of benches at the mini-bus stops. We have worked with local Scout groups and held activities for charities. We provided assistance to Senior Meals on Wheels, Mountain States Children’s Home, the Tiny Tim Center, the VICA program at CDC and the OUR center. The club has donated time and materials to build elementary school playground equipment, provided food and clothing to needy families at Thanksgiving, and brought driver’s education films to the local high schools. If this sounds like a community-minded organization you may be interested in, please feel free to attend the next meeting or contact a member for more details.
